This is an ode to bioluminescence, to learning to glow in the dark, to going so deep you must find a new guiding light.

Opals are photonic; they have a spherical crystal structure wherein light enters the stone and bounces around in the void spaces between these spheres causing it to transmute into a rainbow of color. This is a metaphor for letting the light in, for transmuting what life throws at you and rewriting your story from your unwounded self that knows all is possible.
